Welcome to Hyperspace!
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Hyperspace
Original Character Tournament
Hyperspace is an all-media OCT set across dimensions in the PMD multiverse. It sees expedition teams (of two members each) compete for the right to travel to the human world: a prize courtesy of Hoopa itself.

Where to Start -
Don't worry if you're feeling confused! Here's a breakdown of our site.
If you don't know about original character tournaments, "what is an OCT?" is the very first question on our FAQ page.
Four pages under "About" are required reading - here's a breakdown of those:
Premise describes the in-universe Hyperspace Tournament everyone's characters will be competing in - its prize, lore, setting, and how its rounds will work.
Rules is a list of requirements for both personal conduct in the community and the content of your entries.
Character Creation is a guide on our expectations when it comes to making characters (expedition teams, each consisting of two members) suitable to compete in PMD Hyperspace OCT - you may also adapt existing OCs. It includes requirements for their reference sheets - we judges and other competitors will use these as resources when depicting your characters.
How to Enter is a guide on submitting your characters' references, auditions, and later entries.
If you're interested in joining in on the fun (and chaos), please join our Discord server! New people can no longer audition, but you can check out our spectator tournament - an ongoing event (concurrent with the main tournament) which enables people to get involved in Hyperspace without the pressures of competing.
Strongly recommended reading:
Judging is an explanation of the rubric by which we will be scoring entries. It also provides insight into who we are!
FAQ is a good page to skim over (but you don't need to read it all) - a list of questions we have anticipated / received with their respective answers.
Other pages:
Prizes is a list of rewards the OCT winners will receive from the judges.
News Archive is a list of old updates to the OCT. Fresh updates will be on the homepage.
Make sure to read all of the judge characters' references, so you know who they are and what their roles are. They function not only as the real-world OCT judges' characters, but the in-universe Hyperspace Tournament staff. Check out our competitors' refs, too!
